I agree with Decco: They will get my guns when they pry it out of my cold, clammy hands!
BTW: This driver only carries $20's worth of ammo!

Folks it’s not about gun control its people control. The scum in D.C. want a disarmed citizenry. All the facts but the FBI, show that (Free) states ones that are shall issue, have a tremendously lower crime rate. Where you have the little people’s republics, heavy gun control crime is ramped. Example New Jersey, Massachusetts, and The Messiahs home state Illinois.

People keep your powder dry, and take comfort you are not alone.

Thank you David! I know we are not alone in our thinking, and I think the government is real worried about it!
I think they know that we 'patriots' are fed up!

I come from the old school, and am very proud of it! We never did take water from anyone! I worry about this new generation that thinks 'we old folks' don't know nuthin!' My kids are always telling me that I worry too much about 'government control, guns, bills that are passed that take away our freedoms, and on and on. I hope they wake up and smell the coffee, as we're in for trouble!

I AM keeping my powder dry!

as Kent Hovind said in his video, gun control is never about guns, it is about control. One person with a gun can control 100 without one.
But I do heard that many people now are selling their guns for money to buy food and other basic stuffs.

Gun control can only be passed in small increments under the cover of public safety or after a heinous crime has been commited using a gun(s). Our best defender of the Second Amendment is the NRA. To join is only $35 a year and it is well worth the cost and they have done a great job to date. As individuals, you and I can help this fight by encouraging others to get involved with recreational shooting and hunting. Most people that are against guns have never fired one and we all know some of these people. Invite them out to shoot targets some day, chances are they will love it. Next they will want to buy a gun then, get them to join the NRA. It works ... I know for a fact. I've converted serval friends into gun enthusiast over the years.

Amen to that! Our best friends were against having a gun in their house until we took them to a shooting range and let them fire our guns. They learned that guns are a tool and need to be viewed as such and, like all power tools, need to be used safely. They now possess a Ruger 9mm.

Obama and his cronies have shown time and again that they intend to usurp our 2nd amendment rights a little at a time. They will attempt to turn it into an emotional issue with false statistics about children, etc. I also encourage EVERYONE to join the NRA. I've been a member for many years. Whether you are a gun enthusiast or not doesn't matter. What you are doing by joining is helping keep our Constitution in tact and fighting against the socialist policies of Soros and Obama.

I agree with everyone in here, especially with the fact that our biggest voice is the NRA. I just joined and got a 3 year membership for $78, what a deal. I would have joined along time ago but this was the first time that I had received info in the mail. I'm also getting my concealed weapons permit before it's to hard to get one. Conservatives need to take the republican party back before we look anymore like the left. There used to be a difference between republicans and demacrats but now it seems we(me) conservatives are on our own.

Here are my thoughts on the matter. The Founding Fathers gave us the right to bear arms for three reasons. First, so that we can protect ourselves. I think it is irrefutable that when private citizens are allowed to own weapons that crime goes down. It has been proven as far back as 1608 in Okinawa when the Japanese Shogunate banned weapons under penalty of death and banditry skyrocketed. Why people think removing weapons from the law abiding is somehow going to stop the criminals in our society is beyond me. It is completely counter intuitive. Besides, how many people with a concealed carry permit are involved in criminal activity in a manner other than stopping it?

The second reason so we can protect our nation. Okay, I admit we no longer have a hostile nation sitting on our border. However, we do have people going after our neighbors (criminals, etc). And we do have the specter of terrorism. I think it is quite possible, even likely, that terrorism will come to us here in the US. My expectation would be for a series of shopping mall shootings with a few guys carrying grenades and automatic weapons. I know some anti gun activists will say “what about crossfire! Innocent people will be killed!” To this I reply, “more than if the bullets are flying in only one direction?”

The third reason, and the one I never hear a politician mention, is we have the right to bear arms in order to protect ourselves FROM our nation. The Founding Fathers just got finished fighting a brutal war to remove an oppressive government. Without guns, we would still be British subjects. The British knew this, which is why the very first battle, Lexington and Concord, were a result of the British trying to seize the colonists weapons and gunpowder. An armed citizenry is the final check on the power of the State. Without it, we are completely at the mercy of those in power, whether they are elected to that office or not.

That is why I own a gun and will resist any attempt to remove my right to do so. I daresay I will even consider hiding it from the government. It would be a real shame if my gun was “stolen” and I no longer had it, except in my dresser drawer.

All this is not to say I am opposed to all gun control measures. I think there are common sense limitations that protect society and assist law enforcement in catching bad guys while leaving law abiding citizens alone. Requiring safety training prior to the issuing of a concealed carry permit for example. Age limitations. Even registration of the weapon like we register cars. I think these, while putting some limitations on the total freedom of weapon ownership, helps to protect society without undue burden. Obama's positions like banning handguns and levying a heavy tax on ammunition does not fall into that category.

AMEN to that! I don't personally own a gun, (no money right now) but I do plan on getting myself one eventually, with the permit to carry it. I guess I better do it soon before I'm not allowed to!

Get a gun NOW, make it your Christmas gift to yourself. It will be to late "eventually" Start practising at a range buy lots of ammo. To get a permit you have to know how to use your gun. Here in Texas its a 10 hr course 6 hrs in the class room and 4 hr on the firing range. Go to a GUN SHOW you can get great deals there. Take someone with you that knows about guns. BUY ONE WITHOUT PAPER!!! Get at least a 9mm so you can qualify for a permit
