Knoxville, TN Tax Day Tea Party

Come join us at the Amphitheater at the World's Fair Park to protest the out of control spending by the federal government. The event starts at 3:00pm and ends at 6:00pm.

Make your own signs and let the government and our elected leaders know how you feel.

Hey Knoxville~~ If anyone is wishing to get transportation, I have obtained a COACH BUS (1) that holds 54 people. We are going to be meeting at Knoxville Center aka East Town Mall at 2 PM will go to the Worlds Fair Park and then they will pick us up after the march. Take us back to our cars at the Mall (DILLARDS LOWER LEVEL) If you want transportation for a mere 5.35 each person, let me know. I cannot obtain additonal buses without KNOWING and actually getting a FOR SURE or I am going to have to pay for it out of my own pocket. At the same time, this is ONE BUS that holds 54 max which is filling up. I just do not want anyone to just "show up" and find out that they are not able to ride the bus. If you want to be on the bus please email me at robin@egretstown.com and let me know. Remember, DOGWOOD ARTS IS going on, and being that I have worked for the ARTS in the past for 10 years I KNOW the parking situation and this is CHEAP.

Good luck with your Tea Party but I'm gonna have to stay in Chatt. for ours. I really don't have the extra gas money to drive up there. Hopefully yours & ours will be a great success. I'll keep you posted.

We are having a small meeting In halls at the old bi low market on hyw 33 to try and encourage more people to come! We will be there in full force god willing! There need to be a stop to this abuse that the goverment is doing to us.

I am "advertising" the Tea Party on the back window of my car but I was wondering if anyone has notified the local news stations of the event. I have been checking our local news sites and not one has mentioned the event. What is up with that??

I loaded the event on RTR 1 week ago in hopes of pulling some more people that are local but not members, or not yet members. I hope to see some familiar faces but will be happy with seeing very many faces/people in attendance. I took the day off so I could arive a bit early if any help is needed, just not sure where in the heck to park around there. Not sure if Robin still has any seat available and the time should help be needed earlier. Rand, if you see this check you inbox here.

I just saw that Knoxnews is advertising the tea parties across the state today. Also, I heard it on two radio stations. I am so excited I can't stand it! Can't wait to see you all there!!
